- אֶגְדִּיקוֹס(אֶגְדִּיקָס, popular corrupt. אנד׳, cmp. אַנְדִּיסְקֵי) m. (ecdicus = cognitor sive defensor civitatis, esp. in Asia Minor) states agent, syndic. Gen. R. s. 12 א׳ ממונה על ביא שלה (ed. אנד׳; בית שלו, corr. acc.) when an ecdicus is in the country, he holds the authority over the public road (curator viæ, v. בִּיָּא). Yalk. Ps. 794 (a. Ar.) אגר׳, corr. acc.Pl. אֶגְדִּיקִין, אנ׳. Cant. R. to VII, 9 (ed. אנ׳).
